Hawkesbury PSSA Zone Athletics Carnival 2025 Date/Time: Friday 22 August 2025 8:00am - 3:45pm (First marshalling to commence at 8:15am sharp. Please arrive at the venue 20 – 30 minutes prior to the marshalling of your first event. If the Hawkesbury Zone Athletics Carnival is cancelled due to wet weather, it will be rescheduled to Friday 29 August, 2025) Description: Qualifying students are invited to compete at the Hawkesbury PSSA Zone Athletics Carnival. This event will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Tamplin Field, Hobartville. Parents/carers must complete an online permission form through the Dash Platform to consent for this event. Information on how to create a Dash account and register has been sent home with students, along with information related to the event your child has qualified for. The online permission form is due by Friday 15 August 2025. Payment via School Bytes is due by Friday 15 August 2025. Cost: $8.50 Venue: Tamplin Field (Laurence Street, Hobartville) Transport: Parents/carers will need to organise transport to and from the carnival. All competitors are to be signed in and out by a parent/carer with the team manager when arriving and before leaving the carnival. If your child intends to go home from the venue with another parent/carer, please clearly state travel arrangements below. Dress Code: Bligh Park sport uniform and hat, appropriate running shoes, warm clothes to wear when not competing, plastic bag to sit on, plenty of water, food and sunscreen. Food: Students are to bring their own recess and lunch. Students are to bring their own water bottle. Canteen facilities will be available at the venue at own cost. Please Bring: If your child requires medication on the day, please send the medication in a sealed envelope indicating the reason for and name of medication, child’s name, dosage required and time to be administered. This is to be handed to the team manager on the morning of the carnival. Additional Information: Students will then proceed to the Bligh Park designated area to meet with their teacher and the parents/spectators will proceed to the designated spectator area. You are not to enter the schools area at any time, unless you are collecting your child to take them home from the event.

Hawkesbury Eisteddfod - School Dance Competition Day - Senior Dance Date/Time: Tuesday 26 August 2025 6:15am - 3:00pm Description: The ‘Stranger Things’ Senior Dance Group will be competing against other primary schools at the annual Hawkesbury Eisteddfod - School Dance Competition Day, in the Stage 3 Primary School Section at the Windsor Function Centre, Windsor on Tuesday 26 August 2025. Cost: $15.00 Venue: Windsor Function Centre, Windsor Start Location: Bligh Park Public School End Location: Bligh Park Public School Transport: We will be travelling to and from the eisteddfod by bus. As previously advised, due to the reduced dance participation cost this year, transport costs will be an additional cost for each dance event. The cost of transport is $15. We ask that the dancers be at school please by 6:15am to prepare for the eisteddfod, as we will be leaving the school at 8:45am. The students will be returning to school by 3:00pm. Dress Code: The dancers must come to school wearing comfortable clothes with shoes, socks and a jacket (not jumper) so it can be worn over the costume. The boys need to come to school with their hair neatly styled with gel or wax. Boys & girls must have foundation only on their face. Please ensure the girls with curly hair have it straightened so it can be braided at school. Food: Please ensure that students bring their recess, lunch, snacks and water bottle to school. Additional Information: Responsible behaviour is expected throughout the duration of the excursion. Students must not bring expensive items as the school takes no responsibility for any potential theft or loss. If your child requires medication, please send it in an envelope labelled with name, class, reason for and name of medication, dosage and time required, which should be handed to the attending teacher on the day. Parents & carers are more than welcome to attend & support our students, our section should start at 10:30am. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Your child has been selected to participate in a High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) program being hosted by Longneck Lagoon Environmental Education Centre located within Scheyville National Park in Maraylya. Transport will be provided by a teacher in a private car. Cost: $20.00 Venue: Longneck Lagoon Environmental Centre Transport: Private vehicle. Please complete and return the additional paper form that will be sent once payment has been made, to provide permission for transport by a teacher in a private car. Dress Code: Appropriate smart casual clothing with flat enclosed comfortable footwear. Food: Students are to bring their own recess, lunch and water to drink for the day. Please Bring: An additional health form is also required by Longneck Lagoon EEC and will be sent once payment has been made. Educational Outcomes: The program focuses on the Creative Domain and is designed to develop student knowledge, skills and understanding in visual arts. Students will utilise the natural environment as inspiration using a range of media to create permanent and ephemeral artworks. Students will participate in discussions about the meaning and value of artworks by established artists and their own artworks.
