About our school

Near Windsor in the Hawkesbury, Bligh Park Public School has 300 students in mainstream and support classes. We foster the skills to develop creative, innovative & collaborative problem solvers - tolerant, respectful & resilient global citizens.

The Bligh Park Public School community is a learning community that believes in the value of shared decision making and works to give our students a strong foundation for their education and future life.

The school council and parents and citizens' association (P&C) of our school are an integral part of the decision-making process and these groups lead the development of the school's 4 year strategic plan.

The current plan developed in 1997, emphasises a thorough grounding in the basic skills of numeracy and literacy and advocates many and varied opportunities for students to develop in physical and cultural endeavours.

The students and staff work with an underlying ethos of 'persistence, pride and excellence' which focuses all members of the school on setting and maintaining high standards in academic social and physical activities. The school band, junior and senior choirs and local community participation in sporting activities are all proudly acknowledged by the school community.
