Our extra-curricular highlights
Synergy Dance Festival and Stranger Things
The Senior Dance Group had a very busy week at the Synergy Dance Festival at Penrith Panthers. The Synergy Public Schools Dance Festival is an event for public schools across Western Sydney and beyond. The festival promotes dance education by engaging students by offering a performance opportunity to schools in a professional setting. Showcasing students from Kindergarten to Year 12, each performance displays the passion, skills and creativity of students and teachers as they explore the art of dance. Participation in the festival is after a successful audition process.
The Senior Dance Group dance for 2025 is Stranger Things. Choreographed by teachers Alita Bourke & Todd Hall, based on the popular Netflix series of the same name. Set in the 1980’s fictional town of Hawkins in America, it revolves around a group of young friends who encounter supernatural forces & secret government activities. It draws heavily on 80’s pop culture including music, film & fashion.
Our drama, art, music, and dance programs help students to be creative and express themselves. They can participate in concerts, art shows, drama activities, and dance performances. Bligh Park Public School offers a wide range of opportunities to enhance our students' learning experiences during lunchtime. Whether your child is a budding artist, a future scientist, or an athlete in training, there’s something for everyone!
