Bligh Park Public School is a b kinder school
Bligh Park Primary School is a kinder school, empowering children to be kinder and more resilient.
Bligh Park's student leaders joined other primary schools in b Kinder's first inaugural summit. B kinder day addresses what it means to be kind and was inspired by Billie Kinder who wanted to make a positive change in this world. Billie's initial and surname actually spells out b kinder. The day started in 2018 and the day has grown exponentially with countries all over the world taking part.
"Being a leader, means to me - setting an example, being a role model to younger children and being kind to everyone and being inclusive." - Zainab Ahmad
B Kinder Day
On Friday 20 June, Bligh Park once again participated in B Kinder Day. The world could use a little more kindness, so the purpose of B Kinder day is to discuss kindness, empower and inspire. B Kinder day is about connecting people, being inclusive and being kind.
B Kinder day is celebrated in respect of Billie Kinder, who was an extraordinary 12- year-old who believed the world would be a better place with a bit more kindness. In her legacy, Bligh Park was honoured to spread some kindness throughout the week by creating B Kinder cards for every student, teacher and SLSO in the school!
All week leading up to Friday, students across the school had an amazing time designing, colouring, and writing beautiful messages in their B Kinder cards. When they were handed out on Friday, it was amazing to see just how much happiness one small act of kindness can make! All students adored their cards and loved sharing their kindness messages with their friends.
It was such a fabulous day to be a part of, and we cannot wait to participate again next year. It is a day that serves as a great reminder that our actions matter and that we each have the power to make a difference through kindness.
